TIN 2024 “Fun”athlon

Another Great Fundraising

Event for TIN & CMT Research

Therapies for Neuropathies (TIN) is partnering with Waterman’s Triathlon Festival (Kinetic Sports) for the

2024 TIN “Fun”Athlon.

Where: Nestled on the edge of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the Waterman’s Triathlons are held in the quaint town of Rock Hall, MD. The time trial swim takes place in Rock Hall Harbor on the Chesapeake Bay. This beautiful area provides protection to swimmers from wind or chop. The bike course winds along a paved rural course, and the pancake-flat run course takes participants through the picturesque nautically themed communities of Rock Hall, MD.

Why: Raising awareness about Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (CMT) is always one of TIN’s goals. CMT disease is a “progressive nerve disease” that affects 3 million people, impairing their ability to walk, balance and perform basic activities. It can be severely disabling and even life-threatening in some cases.

Funds raised by this year’s “FUN”ATHLON will be used to by TIN to create a new series of Physical Therapy Videos. The videos continue our mission of “Helping those with CMT remain physically able as we work to find a cure”. Recent research advances, coupled with vigorous fundraising, have put this goal within sight.
